How in the heck is it the last day of December already??? October, November, and December always go by so quickly, I guess because of all the holidays/birthdays/etc. This year just seems like it's gone by extra fast. Lucas is almost 3, Charlotte is 9 1/2 months, the school year is almost half over... Seems like just yesterday people were freaking out about Y2K, and now it's gonna be 2010!!! Craziness I tell you. But we've had a busy, yet exciting year. Thanks to all our family and friends for making it that way!
But most importantly, how do I only have 3 days of vacation left???

Feliz Navidad
Yeah, we're a little late with the Christmas post, but we've been busy visiting and playing with all out new loot! Anyway, we had a great Christmas!!! After being out late on Christmas Eve, Lottie slept in - and by sleep in, I mean until 7. Lucas was up at 6, so we let him play with the things Santa left for him... Play-doh, the Wonder Pet's fly boat, paints, Hank the train, and a special horse (no idea what that meant, but the week before Christmas he told everyone that asked that he wanted a "special horse" from Santa). That involved Mommy going out with the masses on Christmas Eve to find a horse of some sort... Do you know how hard it is to find any horse that isn't pink and sparkly and comes with brushes and pink tutus... So we settled for a small plain brown one that we found after 35 minutes of scouring the toy aisles.
Anyway, once Lottie was up, we opened the wrapped things. Lucas was a present opening machine! For a 9 month old, Charlotte did pretty well too...
Next year, I'm going to buy Lottie mens undies instead of toys... Notice how in these pics, she's most interested in underwear/socks:
Then we played some more...
And then explored the stockings!
Then we headed to Mommom and Pop's house!
Then we headed back home to play some more...
And now Mommy and Daddy have to find somewhere to put ALL of this:
We hope you all had a great Christmas too, and thanks so much for all our gifts!!!

Who is this baby???
Seriously, in the past 2 weeks, Charlotte has become a completely different baby. She crawls all over the place all the time... and fast! She laughs, squeals, sticks out her tongue, and wiggles all over. She will use us to pull up and "stand" on. If you put her against something standing, she'll hold herself up. She's into everything - electric sockets, cords, trash, you name it. If she should leave it alone, she wants it! It's like she's gotten older all of a sudden. Now, if she would just sleep all night... :)
Christmas Eve
After the snow slides were made/played on, and naps were taken, we headed over to Aunt Barb and Uncle Roy's house for Christmas Eve with my dad's side of the family. Food was delicious and it was nice to see everyone. Christmas is so much fun with the little ones around now. And even though the party started at Charlotte's bedtime, she was a trooper. Even fell asleep on Mommom's lap - that NEVER happens!
