Charlotte is now 6 months old - where did 1/2 a year go already?!? Latest stats are:
height - 24.5 inches (grew an inch since her 4 month appt)
weight - 15 lbs. 6 oz (almost 2 lbs more than at 4 months)
She still seems like my little baby, but when I see pics of her, she sure does look like she's getting big. She is becoming more vocal, putting together some sounds and different noises. She's excellent at grabbing anything with her hands (she loves plastic-type bags that make a crinkle noise) and can sit up alone for a few minutes at a time. We don't go far though, cause she could topple at any moment!
She still gets up at night (grrr!). The doctor says I should just let her cry, and I always say "ok, starting next week, I won't go up anymore at night"... But I can't seem to follow through. Especially now that one bottom tooth has poked through the gums, I feel bad for her - maybe she's in pain??? Who knows - but I would like an uninterrupted night of sleep :)
She still adores her big bro and is definitely Mommy's little girl - she can't let me out of her sight!
It was harder to get these pics than before. She spent the entire time leaning over, biting the paper and trying to crumble it up and eat it! Check back soon for pics from our weekend camping trip...

Lucky me
Just wanted to let you know that Charlotte slept ALL night for the first time EVER last night. Went to bed at 6 (she was exhausted from her dr. appt and shots!) and slept til I got her up at 6:15. Am I lucky enough for this to be a new trend? Probably not :)

The sweetest thing

Football season is here!
Last weekend was also the start of football season - a day we've been waiting months for!!! With our fantasy teams all set up, we headed to Mike and Brenda's to watch the Ravens game. Good times - lots of snacks and the Ravens won! Tony and I wore Panthers jerseys (they suffered an embarrassing loss!) and the kiddos wore Ravens. Every time the Ravens scored, Lucas would yell "No, that was LAME!". Nutso...
Baltimore boatin'
Last weekend, Blake and Aiden came up for the day and we took the boat to the Baltimore Harbor. It was a different boating day than we're used to... gray, cloudy and about 68 degrees. No sunblock involved! It was a nice ride, and we had a bite to eat while downtown. Lucas loved pushing Charlotte in the stroller, and she was too cute dressed up in her jeans!

Labor Day Weekend
What!?! 2 posts in 3 days... what's going on? Not having to go to work/get me and the kids' stuff ready for the next day seems to free up a few extra minutes here and there :) Since I now blog in speed mode, you may see less writing and more pics!
Saturday morning we went to the Maryland State Fair. Lucas had a good time watching and petting animals, riding tractors, playing carnival games, and hitting up the bulk candy shop. As usual, Lottie was a doll... took a nap and just looked around!
In the evening, Matt, Jeff, Chasity, and Lily came over for a bbq. We had corn on the cob, shrimp kabobs, and lots of fun! Lily and Lucas are the cutest things EVER playing together :) Sadly, Jeff was taking pics and I didn't even get my camera out. Maybe once I get some from him, I'll add them. But the kids played golf, frisbee, and rode the little green tractor. They gave each other about 43 hugs when it was time to go!
Sunday was pretty low key. Lucas and Tony played disc golf in the morning. Then, our new neighbors from across the street stopped by and ended up staying for a few hours. After Lucas' nap, we headed over to their house for dinner. Yummy!
Monday we were off work - yippee! We love Labor Day!!! Headed to the DC Zoo in the morning. It was great weather for it - cloudy, breezy, and low 70's. Again, Charlotte was an angel-baby. Not a peep out of her. Napped and looked around the whole time...
Don't know why this is underlined and I can't turn it off....? Oh well. When we got back, we went to Mommom and Pop's to do a few things since they are still in NY. Clean the fish filter, pick veggies, etc. Then we made a quick stop at Gigi's to say hi too. Forgot to mention it, but I started Charlotte on baby food Saturday. The girl is an eater. Devours some cereal, so I thought she must be getting hungry for some more foods. She loved it! But she hasn't pooped in 3 days so we had to get her some prunes. Hopefully that'll do the trick!
