2 weeks between posts! Bad me! Let's see, guess I'll start with 2 weekends ago... Charlotte was sick with another virus, had a 103 fever for 3 days, and missed a week of daycare... Mommom kept her most of the week (thanks!) and I took off Friday for a 2nd trip to the doctor. Friday evening we met up with some friends in Baltimore for dinner at Hooters and then headed to the aquarium for $5 Fridays... hadn't been since right before we had Charlotte.
Saturday morning we did some yard work...
And in the afternoon, had the neighbors over for a bounce-house bbq...
Sunday morning, we played disc golf with some friends... for the first time in probably 8 months!
Sunday night, the kiddos were watching cartoons while I was getting our stuff ready for Monday... I came into the living room to find this:
The workweek went by - nothing too eventful... Friday evening, we ran some errands. When did she get so big that she sits on a stool and feeds herself?!? And boy is the boy cute :)
Saturday morning we ran some errands and went to the park. Then we headed to a craft fair sponsored by my school... Scored some awesome tye-dye for the kids!
Sunday morning, there were more errands and then a tire park!
Sunday evening Mommom watched the monkeys while Tony and I went downtown for a belated bday outing... Matt surprised me with tickets to see the John Butler Trio - an awesome time!!!
And today we started yet another week... Charlotte has been in a remarkably good mood the past 2-3 days, and talking a lot more!
Hopefully I'll be back with more before another 2 weeks are up...

BOO!
Did I scare you? Ha ha ha... Here's the rundown of our Halloween weekend:
On Friday, I took 2 hours off school in the middle of the day to go to Lucas' Halloween "parade". It was way cooler than a normal parade! It was in the gym. All the kids came in and sat in rows of chairs with their classes. Lucas was SUPER excited to see that me and Mommom were there to watch him. He kept looking over and waving excitedly. Each class took a turn getting up on the stage and singing a few Halloween songs. Lucas has been singing these songs non-stop at home all month, but on stage looked more like he was mumbling the words. Oh well! Then the classes went trick-or-treating through the convent, then back to their classrooms for a party... He had so much root beer that he peed his pants at naptime :)
Saturday morning was chilly, so we walked around Arundel Mills with all the old people.
In the afternoon, we headed to Annapolis for the Navy Homecoming football game vs. Duke. Mommom and Pop came with us, but Navy played terribly... And Lucas and Charlotte weren't quite the angels they were last time either...
Sunday was HALLOWEEN!!! We spent most of the day playing in the yard with the neighborhood kids. Lottie has a new boyfriend - Jonah from across the street... He is always running around like a madman... Except when Lottie is around. They sit next to each other and he puts his arm around her :) They even walk around that way, and whenever he sees her, he gives her a big hug! Too cute... Til she's 14 anyway ;P
The kids too late naps, and when they got up it was costume time!!! Race car driver Lucas and pirate girl Charlotte...
We started trick-or-treating on our street around 5:30. Lucas was a maniac about it last year, so I assumed he'd be the same this year. And I was totally unsure of what to expect from Lottie. Lucas did fine, but started to whine about going home much sooner than I'd expected. I think it's because I told him he could eat some candy when we got home. So, he decided he wanted to go home right then. We stayed out about an hour and 15 minutes, but I think Lottie could've gone longer. As soon as the first person put candy in her pumpkin, she was on a mission. She'd march up to the door with Lucas and thrust her pumpkin out. On several occasions, after receiving a handful of candy, she demanded "more!". Or God forbid someone let her pick out her own candy, she'd have both hands in the bowl. After each house, she'd get back in the stroller til the next house. While sitting, she would pick out some candy and start gnawing through the wrapper... Never a dull moment with that girl, I'll tell ya....
And, as usual, we had a little Halloween compound at our house. The front yard was decorated all month with a haunted graveyard. Tony made a spooky maze in the carport that trick-or-treaters had to brave in order to get candy. We had a bonfire out front. Mike and Brenda were nice enough to hold down the fort and give out candy while we were out with the kids. After trick-or-treating, we all hung out for a while. Eventually, the neighbor kids came over when they were done getting candy too... It was lots of fun. We had more trick-or-treaters than ever before and Tony got to scare lots of people, both young and old. And he got to wear several masks... He's already planning decorations/costumes for next year!
