NC Surprise!

On Father's Day weekend, we made a surprise trip to NC to visit Tony's parents.  After some yucky traffic, we got into town Friday night and stayed at Mike & Cacile's.  We enjoyed some hot tub action and good company.  Saturday morning, there was breakfast and park.  Then, we headed to Grammie & Grampie's house.  We showed up at the church's Beer & Brats dinner and really shocked Grammie!  We did plenty of hanging out, a park, helping cook, and playing with the toys there the kids don't see much : )  And, Lucas got plenty of biking in, as usual!

Program

On my last day of school, Charlotte had her end-of-the-year program at school where she got to sing 2 songs...

Happy cereal eater!

Right around 4 months, we gave Lydia cereal for the first time.  She loved it!  For weeks she had been intently watching us eat and would even try to grab things from us (like crackers) and put them in her mouth.  She's been eating a little bit most mornings and evenings :)  This was her first time:

Bowling

Tony has been on a bowling league all year, but the rest of us have taken about a year off.  We went a few weeks ago, and I bowled a 186 and 160.  I'll take it!  When Mike and Sil were in town a few weeks ago, we went again with them.  It was a ton of fun, and we were even there for a little bit of Rock & Bowl, where they turn the lights off and have the disco balls and blacklights going!

Excuse the lack of Lottie bowling pics.  She played in the arcade most of the time.  Lucas is getting pretty good.  No more bumpers, and he can actually pick up some spares!!!
