So, Lucas has a strange obsession with these 2 things... We understand where one came from, but have no clue about the other. There have been many "baby gorillas" in Lucas' life! When Ang was pregnant, we referred to the big belly as baby gorilla. He also has a little stuffed monkey that he calls baby gorilla. And for Valentine's Day, Mommom gave him a big monkey heart balloon that he also called - you guessed it - baby gorilla.
Now, he uses baby gorilla as a scapegoat for everything... If he spills his snack or does something he shouldn't, he will tell us "baby gorilla did it". He will wake up crying from a nap, calling "Mommy, I'm scared of the baby gorilla!". He will refuse to sit in the high chair because "there's a baby gorilla under there". This baby gorilla also lives in his closet and makes him not want to get dressed if he's not in the mood.
The same goes for ladybugs, though we have no idea where this obsession started. If he won't eat something for dinner, it's because "there's a ladybug on there". When we're outside there are ladybugs on everything. Sometimes it's really an ant; other times nothing at all.
Silly boy!
