Vegas Baby!!!

For once, this post is not about the kids - it's about US!!! We spent Friday night thru Tuesday morning in Las Vegas! Ang was off all week for Easter break, and our neighbors were getting married there Saturday afternoon... so we had the perfect excuse for a little getaway. Mommom and Pop watched the munchkins. All survived and did great, though the grandparents were a tad tired by the end :)

Here are a few pics of our fun... We stayed at the Riviera, towards the north end of The Strip, so there was lots of walking... mixed with a lot of penny slot gambling, eating, drinking, monorail riding and FUN!!!
It sure was nice to have a few days to ourselves... I'd completely forgotten what it was like to have my days not revolve around bottles, naptimes, bedtimes, and kids wanting to be held/played with all day... For 3 seconds I even contemplated fleeing the country :) He he he... But it was inexplicably GREAT to see these 2 little faces again!!!!!

Spring has sprung!

Last weekend was gorgeous, and we spent most of it outside... Here are just a few pics to tide you over while we're in VEGAS!!!!

Saturday morning we went to St. Michael's for the morning. We walked around by the water and met some other kids at the playground...
We spent the afternoon grilling in the backyard and hanging out... Lucas used his baseball glove for the first time...
Sunday morning we hit the park for a little disc golf and playground action...
After naps, we went to Lily's to hang out for the evening...

Home & Garden Show

Last weekend some friends invited us to the fairgrounds to see the annual home and garden show. We got to get out of the house (it rained all weekend) and the kiddos got to see their playmates Riley and Tyler! Don't mind the lack of Lottie pics in the show - she spent the whole time being whiny in a front carrier :)

2 firsts

It was really nice out this evening, so after we put Lottie to bed we went outside for a bit. We played a little ball and drew on the sidewalks. Lucas did 2 "new" things... He said he was going to draw a football, and then he actually drew one. And then more... and they looked like footballs! Then he drew some stick-like people. He also spelled his name out loud!

My other baby turned 1 on Wednesday! And I actually went to work :( Only because I took off Thursday to have the kids' pictures taken and their doctor check ups done. The weather was in the 60's, so she got to wear a pretty yellow dress!

At Ms. Dineyli's, they went to play group and had a mini-celebration. We got to have a couple hours of family time between work and bowling, then Mommom and Pop got to see her too!

She stopped nursing about a week ago and seems to be doing just fine on cow's milk. Baby food is long gone; she freaks out if you try to feed her anything at all on a spoon. She loves feeding herself and boy can she eat! Still no walking, but a lot of super quick crawling and pulling up. Charlotte got another tooth this week, and is usually sleeping all night. She says mama, dada, and waves/says bye. She still loves playing with whatever Lucas is playing with... cars, play food, books...
