Day 1095 - To this:
Saturday, Lucas celebrated birthday #3! We had a pretty low key day. We're having their party in April (when the weather is better), so we didn't want to make a big deal of his birthday twice... and possibly set him up for future confusion. So, while he knew it was his b-day, we didn't do presents or cake, etc. yet. He knows the party will be "in a few weeks when Grammie and Grampie can come up for it".For a change, Charlotte slept in a little, so we had a little alone time with Lucas when he got up. We brought him downstairs into our bed and told him we had a surprise - TODAY is your birthday! He had been saying all week "my birthday is coming up". We went to Chic-fil-a for breakfast and the kiddos got to play in the play area. Then we met Mommom at the mall and walked a lap. Next, off to the grocery store we headed and finally back to the house.
Blake and Aiden came up for the day. Lucas and Aiden had a great time playing together!!! It rained ALL weekend, so we were stuck in the house. The boys played cars and videogames like they were going out of style. For dinner, we made some pizza. Good times!
