Wow! 2 weeks since my last post... I hate when that happens.
Anyway, 2 weekends ago was my 31st birthday weekend. Gulp - 31 - how did that happen? But I feel better now than I have in a few years, so that's a good thing I suppose...
The Friday before my birthday, I planned to take off school. Lucas' class was going to a field trip to the pumpkin patch. But then, Tony thought he would have some extra hours on the books and be able to take 1/2 day that day... And 2 of my classes were planning a not-so-surprise surprise party for me. So, I sucked it up and went to school that day. No 3 day weekend as a present to myself :(
Here are a few pics of the farm trip:
Friday night we went out with the neighbors to Red Lobster - classy I know. I'm that kind of girl - only the best for me. They have their annual "endless shrimp festival". Coconut, popcorn, scampi, parmesan scampi, alfredo, fried, etc... We hadn't gone in 2 yrs, and I was a little miffed at how little I could actually eat before feeling the urge to vomit. When we left, Tony claimed he was still hungry, and I seriously could've passed for 5 months pregnant - my belly was so full/bloated... It was delish, but I am certainly glad it only comes around once a year!
Saturday morning, we were supposed to go to Becca's Halloween party, but she woke up sick :( Instead, Tony helped Mike close his boat and I took the kids to a Fall Festival at Homestead Gardens. They both had fun and were super well behaved!
Saturday evening, Jeff, Chasity, Lily, & Nathan came over for a cookout. The kids had a blast in the moonbounce. No broken fingers this time and it was too cute seeing all 4 of them in there!
Sunday was the BIG DAY :) We went to the flea market and the park... Had our usual football party at Mike and Brenda's... They surprised me with an ice cream cake - yum! Then headed to Mom and Dad's for the family party... Just us 4, them, and Gigi. More eating - pizza and cake... And some wonderful gifts - thanks guys!
It was a nice low-key weekend that I was lucky to spend with family and friends :) xo

We heart fall...
I love fall time! When it hasn't been rainy, we've been spending lots of time outside... in the yard, on walks, at the playground, etc. Friday afternoon we took another fall hike at the park right by Lucas' school. The neighbors even met us there for the fun!
If there were a prize for routinely exhausting toddlers, I think me and Tony could win it!!!

Go Navy!!!
This fall, we ended up with an almost complete set of Navy football tickets. We headed to Annapolis Saturday afternoon for the fun! We got to the parking area around 1:30 and had about an hour and a half to goof off before walking to the stadium... Hot dogs, baggo, and fun were had by all! We turned the back of the truck into a comfy hang out area with sleeping bags too... I was prepared for some coldness. Forecast was for 65 degrees and super windy, but it really wasn't bad. Jeans and a sweatshirt were plenty until it got dark... In fact, sometimes we were actually hot!
We headed to the stadium around 3 (game at 3:45). We invited Jacob (from Lucas' school) and his parents (I work with his mom). They met us inside, and it was Jake's first live football game! Yeah!
It was a pretty exciting game. There was a lunatic sitting in front of us, but the game came down to the wire. Navy won with less than a minute to go! Woo hoo! Charlotte was an absolute angel. No whining, wiggling, etc. Just sat and looked around happily. Lucas was a little harder to contain... By the end of the game, both 3 yr olds were in daddy's lap sucking their thumbs!

Fall is here!
The past few days have been warm again... in the 70's. But most of last week and this upcoming week's temps look like fall is here to stay... And I'm ok with that! I love fall weather and the holidays it brings with it :)
Lottie update - Sunday was the first "normal" day she had 10 days. She finally kicked the virus and started eating, playing, and actually walking again. Poor kid! Hope neither one of the kids ever gets that virus again...
Sunday before the Ravens game, we headed up the street to the local pumpkin farm... Let the kiddos wander around a bit and got a few pics... Then headed home to set up our Halloween decor in the front yard. Tony was holding off on that (and quite sad about it) because we thought we were putting the house on the market last week. Turns out, we didn't - more on that later... So Tony happily busted out the bins of skeletons, headstones, ghosts, and orange lights! Charlotte will look from afar but spazzes out if you get too close. Lucas helped put up the decorations, then was scared, but then wasn't scared after the neighborhood kids played in our "graveyard" all day Sunday... But then he was terrified again Monday. Who knows?
We even took an evening walk with some neighbors, searching for Halloween decorations...
And we get to wear Halloween clothes!!!
