Raystown Lake, PA (year 3)

Wow...  a 6 week blog hiatus...  that's embarrassing!  Now that we don't keep a computer upstairs, it's much harder/more inconvenient to hop on for a few minutes here and there to blog a bit and upload pics.  We've been plenty busy and I'm trying to catch up here over the next few days...  There've been vacations, festivals, school starting, and baby #3 growing...  But, let's go back to late July and our trip with Tony's sis and her family to Raystown Lake...!

Friday:  We got there around lunchtime and spent a few hours setting up camp.  Lucas decided to come down with a fever that morning, so he fell asleep in the shade for it all.  Tony's sis and family got there after dinner; the kids were SO excited to see each other!
Saturday:  A day spent boating/swimming...  We saw our first ever snake in the water (luckily, me & the kids were NOT in the water at the time... BUT Tre & Keira were).  After boating, I noticed that Lucas looked like he had pink eye.  Sooooo, we drive 30 minutes to the nearest (and most antiquated ever) hospital to get checked out and get antibiotics..
Sunday:  Another whole day on the water!
Monday:  Panning for gems at the caverns, ice cream at the playground, and more playing...

Tuesday:  Feeding carp at the marina, cliff jumping, swimming...  Tre and family headed back home...  Lots of rain...  Making spears with arrowheads...
Wednesday:  Morning hike and night boat ride...
Thursday:  Although we were supposed to stay until Sunday, we packed up, spent 1/2 day on the water, then headed home in the evening.  We were just TIRED, and were sad to miss any of the summer Olympics that we'd been waiting for :)
Char ran into a bench yesterday, and it left a wood mark on her face :(
