Happy 5th Birthday Lucas!

Lucas was SUPER excited for his birthday to arrive so he could be 5!!! Seriously, 5??? How did that happen? He demanded we stop by the Chick-fil-a drive thru on the way to school. After all, it was his birthday, and people get what they want for their birthdays... He took cupcakes to share with his class. White cake on the inside with chocolate frosting and St. Patrick's Day sprinkles.

After his nap and I got off work, I met him at school with my magician student Andres that we have seen perform before. We thought his class might enjoy a show! Boy, did they ever! There were 20 kids with their eyes GLUED to the show for a good 45 minutes. Andres had them eating out of the palm of his hand. They were squealing, laughing, jumping up... To say they really liked it would be an understatement. Lucas got to wear the special green fuzzy birthday hat, help out with several tricks, and even got to keep the magic wand. Though, by the time we got home had decided he was afraid of it... and didn't want to make things disappear :) He was super happy to have his BFF Jake there to take some turns at juggling too!

At home, there were balloons and pizza. After that, Mommom and Pop came over for present opening and ice cream cake! He felt important because he got a call from Grammie & Grampie too... I think he had a great birthday... As he said, it was "the best day he's ever had"...
