2 boat rides in 5 days

Last week we kicked off the 2011 boating season - wahoo!!! It was awesome to be back out on the water again...

Wednesday we went out on Mike and Brenda's boat to grab some dinner...
And Sunday we took our boat out, just to make sure she's still seaworthy ;P
Looking forward to much more boating this summer...

My 5th Mother's Day

Woke up on Mother's Day and got to snuggle my 2 babes... Then the 4 of us went to the park to play disc golf, and I got a nice 40 minute run in... After baths and naps, we headed to Mommom and Pop's for the family Mother's Day gathering. It was a fun time!!! Good food and the kids had a BLAST playing (especially Lucas and Lily).
They conked out the second we got in the car...
But when we got home, were SUPER excited to try on the new jammies that Gigi got them!
What a great day :) Got to spend it with my family, my own WONDERFUL Mommy, and the 2 little people who stole my heart!

Big girl...

For the last month or 2, I have been wondering when I might think about transitioning Lottie to her big girl bed... She still was sleeping GREAT in the crib, hadn't ever tried to get out... plus, the crib is the last "baby" thing she has left. In my heart, I thought I could just leave her in there as long as she'd sleep in it. Maybe I'd work on it over the summer in case many sleepless nights were in my future? But, she has also had a big bed in her room for over a year, and we just got back from vacation where she slept in a stranger's big girl bed with no troubles... and in a tent for 5 nights. So, my head said maybe we should just give the big bed a shot and see what happens. So, we did. Now, I thought Lucas was "easy" when we moved him. He didn't nap well for about a week, and for 2 nights we had to go up a few times to tell him to lay down... but then we were home-free. Charlotte was mega-easy compared to that. It was the easiest thing in the world for her. She's been in the big bed now for 3 weeks and hasn't gotten up/woken up AT ALL. Yup, she has slept completely normally! And she loves her big girl bed... Now I gotta get some cute bedding for her. And we love all the floor space that the kids now have in her room after taking down the crib! And Lucas & Charlotte LOVE have sleepovers together, so once a week on the weekends we let them sleep in Lottie's bed together...
Summer potty training is also on my to-do list, and Lottie has been pretty interested in it, so we've been taking small steps there too. In the past month, she's only pooped in her diaper maybe 1-2 times... She always wants to use the "big girl potty" for that. Pee is going to be the challenge. While we were camping, she kept dry most of the time. But, at home she drinks non-stop. She will pee whenever you ask her to and will often ask to go herself. She makes it on the potty at least a few times each day. The Easter bunny brought her some big girl undies, so we've tried them a few times. She will pee on the potty, put the undies on, and pee 2 minutes later in them... Guess we'll keep working on that one...

Fun with Pop!

2 weekends ago, Tony, Lucas, & Pop spent a Saturday morning fishing! Lucas was so excited to go, and they even caught fish. Though Tony was upset that after he caught a sunfish, Lucas proclaimed that "it was the smallest fish he'd ever seen". HA!
Later that week, we went over Pop's house to help plant in the kids' gardens. They love planting and watering!

Random "we love it outside" pics...
