Snowmageddon 2010

I didn't even realize we had a big snowstorm coming until Wednesday night... So, of course, the kids and teachers alike talked about nothing else the rest of the week. We got off school 2 hrs early Friday. Light snow began around 11 a.m., but didn't really start sticking until 4:00 or so. Once it started, it snowed hard and accumulated fast! By the time we went to bed Friday night, we had a few inches. Tony shoveled around 8 and 10 p.m. just to have less to do in the morning.

Man did it snow A LOT overnight, and there were some pretty good wind gusts. Definitely a record breaking snow here for Maryland. Once there was a path cleared, Lucas had fun playing outside. We couldn't do much walking around, as there was about 30" on the ground. Charlotte went out once and just looked around, or sat wherever I propped her up.

We spent almost all day inside - something that hardly ever happens. Lots of hot cocoa drinking, car playing, and snuggling! It finally stopped around 4 p.m. - earlier than expected. Now, when might we head back to school? Hmmmm? No signs of any plows yet...

Ready for Halloween, I mean shoveling:
