Memorial Day at Lake Anna

Note - pictures go from end of trip backwards to the beginning...

Last weekend, we left after work Friday for Lake Anna, VA. The traffic was pretty bad - the worst we'd ever been in towing the boat. When we were a couple miles from the park, a tire popped off the trailer... Had to pull over to fix it. Luckily, Tony had all the tools/parts needed, and is super handy. We were back on the road in 25 minutes! We got to the park and set up our campsite just in time before the rain started. We then got back in the truck, did an unsuccessful search for the blown tire, and had dinner... Go figure we were sitting next to Steelers fans... boo!!!

Saturday morning after I got a chunk of wood dock in my foot and Tony had to cut it out, we were joined by Tony's high school friend Michelle, and her kids Zachary (7) and Madison (4). We spent the rest of the weekend boating, swimming, taking walks, playing on the playground, and roasting marshmallows. Fun times! It was so fun we made a whole day of Monday and came home in the evening... Luckily, no tire issues on the way back ;P

What a great start to "summer"...
